How to Use a Ski Key Lock with All Equipment Types
There are many ways to use a Ski Key lock to secure your equipment. Please review them carefully to ensure you have the correct method for your particular gear. Watch our short videos to see a demonstration.
A: SKIS - 3 EASY STEPS
- Place ski tails in bottom loop of rack, slide skis between locking rails
- Insert lock into locking rail with key in lock, align hole in lock with hole in rail
- Slide locking pin into lock, press firmly until it clicks locked. Remove Key
YOU DO NOT NEED TO TURN THE KEY TO LOCK, TURN KEY ONLY TO OPEN LOCK!
B: SNOWBOARDS OR FAT SKIS - 3 EASY STEPS
- Place snowboard or fat skis in the longer rails between the bindings
- Insert lock into locking rail with key in lock, align hole in lock with hole in rail
- Slide locking pin into hole in lock, press firmly until it clicks locked.
LOCKING 2 SNOWBOARDS - PLACE THEM BOTTOM TO BOTTOM (most boards will fit this way but not all)
C: TWIN TIPS - 2 WAYS TO LOCK
- Most Twin Tips can be locked using A above. However, place tails in bottom loop one at a time.
- When Twin Tips are too wide for ski section use B above, lock same as fat skis.
D: JUNIOR SKIS - 2 WAYS TO LOCK
- Use Ski Rails (shorter ones) Hang skis in the rail between the bindings or
- Use Snowboard Rails (longer ones) Hang skis between the bindings.
E: TIPS & TRICKS
- LOCKING SKI POLES - Slide poles between the snowboard rails, 2 to 3 pair of poles can fit.
- LOCKING 2 PAIR SKIS WITH 1 LOCK - Take 1 ski from each pair (unmatched pair) lock them.
